Six Ways to Make Web 2.0 Work

I just discovered an absolutely wonderful resource - The McKinsey Quarterly - so far iv only checked out their Visitor Edition, but ill be getting my company to register with them soon. They just published a great article that I think anyone in a position to decide the software infrastructure of a company should read, titled "Six Ways to Make Web 2.0 Work" - it should be titled Six Ways to Make Web 2.0 Work Internally for your Business.

The article discusses how new Web 2.0 technologies (personal examples would include web products such as Basecamp, User Voice, FogBugz, etc) can succeed or fail based on the culture of the organization as well as the willingness of managers to adopt these technologies that basically directly devolve the decision making power of an organization.  The article goes on to conclude that when management can successfully implement these solutions - the devolution inherently caused by them directly improves the efficiency / effectiveness of the organization.

Once again, an absolute must read - if you missed the link above check it out here.
